East Snyder Community Garden

971 University Ave
P.O. Box 310
Selinsgrove, PA 17870

The East Snyder Community Garden (ESCG) is a 501c3 non-profit organization located in Selinsgrove. ESCG was founded to provide educational opportunities, support community beautification and fellowship and instill civic pride. We are proud to have supported the local community in past seasons through our donations of fresh produce to local food banks and free community dinner programs. You can support the garden by renting a garden plot, donating time, materials and/or monetary gifts. The garden is run by a volunteer board of directors elected by fellow gardeners. The land is leased from the Department of Agriculture. The garden offers a safe and attractive environment to people desiring a place to grow edible produce and/or flowers. To find out more about the East Snyder Community Garden and how you can become a gardener, please check out the SIGN UP section of our website, email [email protected] or call 570-374-1525. We recently had our first 2018 event, our annual Seed Exchange, where we shared free garden seeds with the broader community. Coming up, we have educational workshops open to the public on March 27th on Native Bees and April 7th on Container Gardening. This year, we are hoping to build an additional garden shed and possibly add refrigeration to make it easier for garden members to donate produce to local organizations. Your donation helps us build our community of gardeners and stock local food pantry shelves with quality, local produce. We grow more than just food. We build community. Please consider making a donation to help our cause.
