Hiawatha Paddlwheel Riverboat

1500 West Third Street
Williamsport, PA 17701

In 1982 the Hiawatha Paddlewheel Riverboat set sail on the Susquehanna River as a community tourism initiative sponsored by the Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce with financial support by the community and volunteer laborers to serve as a keystone of the local tourism industry. The Hiawatha serves over 25,000 visitors annually primarily from the Northeastern United States. The mission of the Hiawatha is to be a successful and vital tourism resource in support of the region's tourism industry through cooperative efforts of the City of Williamsport, River Valley Transit, Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce and local and regional community sponsors. As a nonprofit organization, the Hiawatha enhances the quality of life; benefiting schools, hotels and restaurants, regional conventions, local industry, the general public and major regional attractions such as the Little League World Series.
