Pennsylvania SPCA- Central PA Center in Danville
1467 Bloom Rd
Danville, PA 17821
The Pennsylvania SPCA rescues animals from cruelty and neglect, rehabilitates them medically and behaviorally, and places them with loving forever families. Our Humane Law Enforcement Department, in-house Shelter Hospital, Low-Cost Community Clinic, Humane Education and Community Outreach Program, and Adoptions and Foster Program work collaboratively to make the community safer for animals and humans alike. The Central PA Center in Danville is one of the Pennsylvania SPCA's four sites. The center is a refuge not only for cats and dogs seeking forever homes, but is also home to the farm animals- including sheep, cows, goats, and horses- that our Humane Law Enforcement Officers rescue from abuse and neglect from 23 PA counties. In the past five years, the Pennsylvania SPCA has rescued, cared for, and found adoptive families for over 100 horses, most of whom recuperated and lived at the Danville site. The Central PA Center in Danville found forever homes for over 800 cats and dogs in 2017 and provides low-cost preventative care services to Montour, Columbia, Schuylkill, Northumberland, Union, and Lycoming Counties.
