This year, during Raise the Region, we are fundraising to support many of the programs we offer:
Life Essentials when the crisis comes we are there! Our program serves as a vital link connecting individuals in need with the organizations that can offer assistance. AGAPE provides a range of support services including educational materials, counseling, resource information, referrals, and a network of solutions to address various challenges. In addition we offer financial aid for essential needs such as heating, rent, utilities, mortgage, car expenses, medical bills, prescription costs, and more. Join us in providing life-changing support to those in our community.
Road Home is our program that helps remind us all that "There's no place like home! Our program is dedicated to assisting displaced individuals who require housing, short-term shelter, or transportation support. Circumstances such as unemployment or familial estrangement can unexpectedly leave good people without a secure place to live or the means to return home. At Road Home, we provide compassionate assistance to those facing homelessness or transportation challenges, ensuring they have the support needed to regain stability and security. Including starting a Code Blue warming center to give those without shelter a warm place to go. Join us in helping individuals find their way back home.
Happy Tails recognizes the invaluable role pets play in our lives. As companions, they offer us unwavering support and companionship, alleviating stress, loneliness, and fostering social interaction. Moreover, pets contribute significantly to a child's self-esteem and emotional well-being. AGAPE's Happy Tails program aims to ease the financial burden of pet ownership for our clients. Through partnerships with Greater Goods Charities, Chewy, and Post, we receive generous donations of pet food and supplies. Monthly distributions during Fresh Express benefit registered pet owners among our clients and extend support to local SPCAs, animal shelters, TNRs, and other pet pantries. Join us in ensuring every pet receives the care and nourishment they deserve.
TOGO Food Backpacks 4Kidz! Many children rely on school lunch programs for nourishing meals during the week. However, when they return home, they often face food insecurity over the weekend, leading to decreased concentration and academic performance at the beginning of the week. To address this issue, we initiated a program providing weekend backpacks filled with nutritious, easy-to-prepare meals for elementary-aged students in underserved local schools. What began in one school district has now expanded to serve seven districts, ensuring more children have access to essential nutrition. Additionally, we've established discreet food pantries in middle and high schools to support older students in need. Join us in making a difference in the lives of children in our community.
Support WIN, which stands for "Women in Need." Our initiative ensures access to essential hygiene products for all women, fostering fairness, equity, dignity, and respect. WIN is a collaborative effort by Shape of Justice & AGAPE, committed to empowering women and girls. By addressing their hygiene needs, we enable heads of households to better manage limited budgets, while ensuring female family members can fully participate in school and work. Our hygiene products reach women through various channels, including local schools, community agencies like the Family Center, Nurse Family Partnership and our distribution centers. Starting in September, we distribute monthly at schools and offer additional distributions during Fresh Express food distribution on Thursdays. Join us in making a difference for women in need.
We are now in our 15th year of meeting the needs of our community where no other exists through sharing the Love of Jesus Christ.
