Favors Forward Foundation

Favors Forward Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization whose primary goal is to enrich the quality of life of children and families within our community, who are suffering with unexpected and life-changing hardships.  Favors Forward volunteers do much to assist the many people living in Lycoming County. However, there are times that volunteers are unable to meet requests. Your donations will support our volunteers as they serve over 1,000 individuals and families per year, suffering through life changing hardships.  What makes Favors Forward unique among social service agencies, and such a positive factor in the community, is our requirement that all service recipients agree, in turn, to donate their own time, talents, or treasures when they are able. They help the Foundation help others, by agreeing to "pay it forward."  Our clients understand that they are not simply receiving "charity," they can also help others.  Over time, the steadily growing number of aid recipients who become, in turn, aid providers, will expand the safety net and strengthen our community in powerful ways.

Who We Are

We are an organized volunteer program that provides a social network of over 150 volunteers and donors who use their time, talents, and treasures to effectively respond to current needs of individuals experiencing life- altering hardships. We routinely communicate with social service agencies, schools, and organizations, as well as thorough individual referrals, to identify families in crisis, to match people to programs and services that exist in Lycoming county. and avoid the duplication of services, and coordinate and facilitate service and delivery to those in need. Other special programs include: Adopt a Family Holiday Program, Partners to Promise Youth Initiative, and April Clean-Up Day.
