Vision: It plays a key role in who we are.

Vision. It’s probably an overused word. Companies talk about it. Leaders are supposed to have it.

In a nonprofit, it is easy to forget about it. Talking about vision sounds almost callous when women come in each day worried about their next—immediate decision. Yet here, we must have vision if we are to effectively minister to those we see. So what is our vision? What do we want to see?

At Greater Hope Care Center, our vision is three-fold.

First, we want to be the first choice for women who believe they might be facing a crisis pregnancy. If they are uncertain, we want them to think of us first. We want to empower families to make their decisions with hope, and not fear. 

Second, we want to reach out in such a way that when an abortion-vulnerable woman comes to us, she will walk away realizing she has no need for an abortion clinic’s services—because she has ours. We want to promote healthy, informed, and responsible life decisions.

We know we won’t please everyone—standing for life causes some to oppose us—and we can live with that. Yet our vision is to be a positive force in our community, bringing new people to value the sanctity of human life.

We believe that compassionate and personalized care goes far beyond a pregnancy test. Woman long to be heard, to be understood, to be believed in, to be valued, to be seen as both unique and beautiful. We are here because we believe women are capable of amazing things.

That is our vision, in three simple steps.
