Establishing our own regional community college is getting closer as we push forward with YOUR support! Our community wants the 16th Pennsylvania Community College to be in our Central Susquehanna Valley area and we are working tirelessly to achieve that goal.

• Gifts will go towards three important needs :
  • A Building for expanded programs in skills and trades
  • Scholarships for Nursing Assistant Students
  • Added certificate programs in high priority job vacancies

Our Region Deserves Our Own 16th PA Community College

We want our own Susquehanna Valley Community College that is close to where we live, play, and work. We want open access to affordable certification and transfer programs. We want our residents to remain in our region. We want the funds that stream out of our area to other locations in northeast PA to remain in our region. We want to grow our talent pipelines to businesses in our region. Satellite sites of other colleges are here but small. Studies have shown the importance of this 16th community college that will serve many counties in the center of Pennsylvania.

Over 5000 Residents signed petitions and businesses, elected officials, school districts, and municipalities have sent Letters of Support!

Susquehanna Valley Community College will be a comprehensive and dedicated main campus public anchor institution that has full and relevant programs to empower individuals, families and businesses in our Central PA region.

Did You Know? There are about 250 post secondary higher education institutions in Pennsylvania and 15 are community colleges that enroll half of the undergraduates in the state - about 240,000.
