Young Life began in the early 1940s in response to an emerging adolescent subculture, the center of which was the world of the high school. Young Life is in the world of high school, middle school, and college — learning kids’ names, hearing their stories, having fun and sharing with them the great news of a God who loves them. In the Susquehanna Valley, we do that going to sporting events, grabbing Starbucks, or watching the musical. We care about kids and want to see them feel seen, known, and loved. Our volunteer leaders seek to show up for kids and walk alongside them in an exhausting and exciting world.
