Haven to Home Canine Rescue, INC

Haven to Home Canine Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Central PA, and we are all about giving dogs a second chance! Since 2009, we’ve saved over 2,700 dogs—from local owner surrenders and strays to retired breeding dogs and even dogs from our rescue partners in Kentucky.  And for the ones who need a little extra love, our Sponsorship Program provides a permanent home for dogs deemed "unadoptable."  We believe every dog deserves a chance to find their perfect forever home!

We’re a 100% foster-based rescue—no shelter, no kennel, just awesome foster homes!  All our dogs stay with approved volunteers who give them love, training, and the care they need to thrive.  Every dog gets fully vetted before they’re adopted, including vaccines, spay/neuter, microchip, and any extra TLC they might need, thanks to our amazing veterinary partners.

Your donations help us go above and beyond to make sure each dog is healthy, happy, and ready to find their forever family. We’re also here to help people who need to rehome their pets, offering the best care and support throughout the process. Our adoption process is all about finding the perfect match for both dog and adopter—because we take that seriously!

As we celebrate 17 years of saving lives, we are so grateful for our incredible supporters.  We are fully donation-driven and 100% volunteer-powered, and we could not do it without YOU!
