‼️ Help Us Keep Heroes Healing Through Horses ‼️

Heroes Helping Horses | Horses Healing Heroes (6H) is more than just a program; it’s a lifeline for military veterans, first responders, and law enforcement officers battling PTSD, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Through the healing power of rescue horses, our heroes find purpose, peace, and a road back to themselves.

But 6H can’t survive without your support; and this year, it’s more important than ever.

Why This Year Means So Much More

This will be our 3rd year participating in Raise the Region since 2022; but we have to be honest, 2024 was not a good year for 6H.

Some of you know this, but most surely do not: Last year around this time, our founder, Rob, was in the fight of his life. After a severe battle with Colitis, Rob was hospitalized for 6 weeks, endured the removal of 3 feet of his small intestine, and spent 5 days in a coma. It was touch-and-go for a while and we almost lost him.

And even when he came home; weak, struggling, and in recovery, Rob was still fighting to keep 6H alive.

👉 He did everything he could from a hospital bed to try and get 6H enrolled in Raise the Region 2024 but his body simply didn’t allow him to keep up.

👉 We missed out on the 2024 fundraising event, and without those critical funds, 6H took a hard financial hit kicking off last year.

But here’s the thing about Rob — and 6H:  💥Giving up is never an option 💥

💪 Back On His Feet — Back In The Fight

Now, with Rob back on his feet and pushing harder than ever in typical warrior fashion, we are determined to make 2025 the best year yet:

✅ We plan to attend more events.

✅ We are committed to raising more awareness.

✅ We will fight harder than ever to reach more veterans, first responders, and law enforcement officers who need healing through horses.

✅ And we’re making sure our rescue horses continue to get the love, care, and purpose they deserve.

But we can’t do it without YOU!

Impact & Benefits

  • Builds confidence, trust, and emotional resilience.
  • Helps veterans and first responders cope with trauma.
  • Provides a safe, structured environment for healing.
  • Strengthens the bond between humans and horses.
  • Offers a meaningful purpose for both rescued horses and participants.

🐎Notable Horses in the Program🐎

  • Emma (formerly Wren): A 6-year-old wild BLM Mustang and the first horse officially donated to 6H. Her journey from the wild to a trusted equine partner mirrors the resilience and transformation the program fosters in participants.
  • Kiowa is a 39-yr-old Standardbred Paso rescue horse. Once neglected, Kiowa has become a key therapeutic partner, aiding veterans, law enforcement officers, and first responders dealing with anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Her great wisdom and extensive empathy has aided this transformation exemplifying the mutual healing fostered at 6H.
  • Arizona is a 12-year-old rescue Welsh Pony. Previously severely overweight, Arizona has regained a healthy physique through dedicated care. She is known for her attentiveness to veterans participating in the 6H program, playing a significant role in their therapeutic journey.

Leadership & Management

  • Rob is a retired USMC / Army Veteran after 22 years of service and is responsible for the therapeutic aspects of the program, working directly with participants and horses.
  • LeeAnn's father was a Vietnam era Army Veteran and manages horse care and day-to-day operations at EFEC, ensuring the well-being of the horses involved in the program.

Sometimes The Road Back Starts With A Horse

If you’ve ever wondered what real healing looks like; it looks like a combat veteran standing next to a rescue horse, finding peace and purpose again. It looks like a law enforcement officer who’s seen the worst of the world, but can still find hope in the eyes of a horse.

This is what 6H does — and we can’t do it without you.

👉 Please donate if you can.

👉 Please share if you can’t.

👉 Either way — you’re helping save lives.

💙 Thank you for believing in our mission!!
