Hope Enterprises Foundation, Inc.

A nonprofit organization

Founded in 1952, Hope Enterprises, Inc. was established to enhance the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities. As it has evolved, Hope's primary focus has shifted towards adult services, creating opportunities for collaboration with nonprofits dedicated to serving our communities of children and adolescents.

Hope Enterprises owns the Children's Campus property on West Edwin Street in Williamsport. This site is leased by STEP, Inc. Head Start and UPMC's Pediatric Rehabilitation Clinic, whereas Hope continues to run the Bi-County WIC Program, and ACCE Autism Resource Hub on the campus.

The playground at the campus needs renovations to ensure its longevity for our partners. This Raise the Region® (March 13-14) Hope is raising funds to replace the playground's rubber matting for the 100 children and families that utilize this space. This effort has been 50% funded through the gracious support of The Harry Plankenhorn Foundation.

Thank you for your consideration and all you do to support Hope, and this community!

Who We Are

Hope Enterprises, Inc. was founded in 1952 by physician Dr. Max E. Miller, and his wife, Leona, as well as other parents and community leaders in Williamsport, Pennsylvania who wanted more for their children with developmental and intellectual disabilities. They started The School of Hope and began offering classes in a church basement. Fast forward to 1987, The Hope Foundation was formed to support Hope's mission and provide additional ways to support.

Today our foundation raises funds to exclusively support the mission of Hope Enterprises and the amazing people we serve! Every dollar makes a true difference.
