The Green Free Library

WE NEED YOUR HELP!  Have you ever had issues walking over cracked or broken sidewalks?  Or, tried stepping into a high doorway?  Now, just image how it is for someone using a wheelchair, walker, stroller, or even just making daily deliveries into a building.  This struggle is happening right now at The Green Free Library and Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center, both in Wellsboro.  Your donation will be used for accessibility into both our facilities to repair the Library's ramp and add a push-button access and safe fire exit for the Gmeiner.  Thank you for making our goal of $8000 a reality!

Don't like QR codes?  Then, read more about out us here:  As a resident of Tioga County, PA or a visitor to Wellsboro, you must visit the beautiful, historic library on Main Street.  When there, check out the white building with the bright, orange door behind the library.  The Green Free Library, a focal point for a community of lifelong learners for more that 105 years, is partnering with the Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center.  Sitting behind the library, this hidden gem has offered free exhibits since 1969.  By supporting literacy, art, culture, and our community, we are working together to provide programs and activities that spur the imagination and creativity for the young and the young at heart. 

Join us during our Kickoff Event on March 13th at the Library from 6pm - 10pm.  Volunteers will be available to provide computer help for donations to us or any participating nonprofit!
