The Lancer Foundation

The Lancer Foundation was incorporated in 1992 to support the educational mission of the Loyalsock Township School District. In 2011, The Lancer Foundation was expanded to allow broad support for the academics, music, art, athletics, and other areas of student achievement. Our present projects include:

*Mini-Grant Programs- Educators can apply for mini-grants to support special projects in the classroom. Examples of these include STEM equipment, ukuleles for the elementary school, and peep embryo kits for elementary science. Art projects such as painting the recycling bins to add awareness to the program at the Middle school level.

*Scholarship Programs- The Lancer Foundation provides annual scholarships to select graduating seniors. The Lancer Foundation has also awarded scholarships to students attending UPMC’s Health Careers Scholars Academy over the year

*Support for Families in Need - The Lancer Foundation will help to support programs like the food pantry, food backpack program, and the clothes closets at the elementary and secondary campuses, which provide assistance to our families in need.

*Capital Improvement Projects- The Lancer Foundation has assisted in raising funds for a variety of capital projects, including the turf project at Kenneth M. Robbins Stadium. Currently, we are assisting the Art Department in finding new and innovative ways to display students' artwork throughout the middle and high school campus.

*The Stadium Brick campaign is a great way to give a meaningful gift for a graduating senior. 

*Distinguished Alumni- The Lancer Foundation holds an annual event that recognizes an alumnus that has gone out and made a difference in the world. Applications are accepted for these nominations on our website. The winner of this award meets with students and faculty at each school to share their experiences. They are also honored at an awards ceremony with their friends, family, and the LTSD community. It is a great time to celebrate and recognize the many success stories to come out of the Loyalsock Township School District.

Your generous donations will help to support the above programs:

$25 will provide 5 students a week with support through our food backpack program
$40 will provide one family with a food box from our Food Pantry
$100 supports one of the many Lancer Foundation Scholarship awards
