HOW DO YOUR DONATIONS HELP?
Haven to Home Canine Rescue is a 501(c) non-profit canine rescue in Central PA. We have saved over 2,500 dogs since our inception in 2009. We take local owner surrenders, strays, retired breeders from puppy mills, and sometimes help dogs that come from our rescue partner in rural Kentucky. We also provide a permanent 'haven' for dogs who are deemed 'unadoptable' through our sponsorship program! Regardless of how or why a dog comes into our care, we make it our mission to give them the absolute best care and find them the loving forever home they deserve. We are the voice for the voiceless!
We are a 100% foster based dog rescue. We do not have a shelter or kennel. All of our dogs are placed in approved foster homes throughout the community. All of our fosters are volunteers who open their homes to dogs in need! Our fosters and donors are the backbone of our organization!
Once a dog is accepted into our program, they are placed in a foster home and the rehabilitation starts! Our fosters work on basic manners, crate training, house training, socialization and much more! All of our dogs are completely vetted prior to going to their forever home.
Vet care is provided by one of our three amazing Veterinary Partners. Vet care includes (but is not limited to):

4DX (Lyme and Heartworm Test)
DHLPP Vaccine
Rabies Vaccine
Bordetella Vaccine
Microchip
Spay/Neuter
Bloodwork
A large number of the dogs we take in require veterinary care above and beyond basic care. YOUR DONATIONS help us go above and beyond the basics to ensure that each dog is heathy and happy prior to be adopted into a loving forever home.
While our focus is helping dogs, we help people too! Unfortunately, some people find themselves unable to provide a home for their dog. When they are forced with the heartbreaking decision to rehome their dog, they can rest assured that their dog will be fostered and rehomed with the utmost of care, dedication and professionalism. Our adoption process includes; an adoption application, personal references, vet references, home visit, adoption interview, and meet and greet. We take this seriously and strive to match each dog with the home that is best suited for dog and adopter!
As we enter our 16th year of rescue, we are humbled by the amazing supporters that donate all year long to help ensure we can continue to take care of the many dogs that come into our rescue. We will continue to fundraise and rely on the community and donations from DONORS LIKE YOU!

Who We Are
Our mission is to rescue dogs in need, rehabilitate them in a quality, nurturing environment, and re-home them in a loving, responsible, permanent home as soon as possible. We will strive to promote a culture of kindness in our community through networking and education.
We care for our rescued dogs in foster homes which become “The Haven” in the Haven to Home Rescue. Since June 2008, we have rescued and found permanent homes for well over 2,000 dogs in central Pennsylvania. Haven to Home is totally volunteer driven and depend on the time, talent and generosity of our local community.
