Mostly Mutts Inc.

Mostly Mutts no-kill dog shelter has been in existence since 2000.  Owner Cheryl Hill purchased the property with 13 acres and began the shelter with only a few dogs.  We now have dozens of dogs, all housed on the property.

Mostly Mutts Inc. received a 501(c)3 classification for tax exemption in 2005. Volunteers do regular fundraising activities to earn money to help defray the tremendous costs of the shelter. We also present information to educate the public about the shelter, animal welfare, and care of pets.

The dogs are provided with necessary medical attention to insure that they are in good health before adoption occurs. They are all spayed/neutered, up-to-date on shots, and given flea/tick and heart worm preventatives. Evaluations are also done for temperament and personality. Our adoption process places a high priority on making a good match between dog and future owner.

There are some canine residents that have lived all or most of their lives at Mostly Mutts. Some are older or "special needs" dogs. They are all known and loved by the volunteers and provided with any special care they need.
