HC Outreach & Improvements Fundraiser

Funds donated to this campaign are for the purpose of growth and longevity for Highland Chocolates.  Highland Chocolates wants to be crafting delicious confections and serving Individuals and our communities for decades to come!

Highland Chocolates plans to develop a Digital Product Catalog in the next 12 months.  Our website will need to be updated and software purchased to support the integration of this digital catalog.  Your donation will assist us in doing so.

We also will be switching from our current E-Commerce platform and integrating with our existing retail platform, Square.  This will involve migration of our site and the hiring of a programmer to assist with this process.  It is hoped that this upgrade will modernize our site, allow us to include better product photos, and ultimately increase online orders for Highland Chocolates.  

Behind the scenes, using the Square system will assist Production with inventory management, allowing us to easier track and grow confection production to meet these additional orders. 

Given the amount of updates needed for the site, Part One of needed Upgrades are estimated to take approximately 1 year to 15 months to complete.  

A second campaign may be requested for additional funds for Part 2 of our needed website upgrades, including possible integration with a shipping platform for precise quoting of customer shipping based on product weight and zip code. This is likely to lead to even more customer orders.

If our Funds Goal of $10,000 is met or exceeded, we would LOVE to purchase a Freeze Drying Machine to make Freeze Dried Candy in our Factory.  This is a delicious trend that would allow us to appeal to even more customers, as well as create additional skills learned for the Individuals that we serve.  Again, this will only be a possibility if our goal is close to being met or exceeded. (Be generous if you can - Freeze Dried Candy is so fun and yummy!)

Additional donated funds will be used for new smocks and aprons, allowing our staff and Individuals to look as world-class as the delicious confections that they create.  Plus, these aprons and smocks promote hygiene and food safety, which is a critical part of our production at Highland Chocolates.
