For more than 25 years, the Uptown Music Collective has been providing exceptional music education and high-impact musical experiences that instill a love of music and an understanding of the importance of discipline, hard work, and community. With programs that are grounded in traditional principles, the UMC engages students through an emphasis on modern genres, including rock, pop, soul, blues, country, R&B, funk, and more!

Its programming does more than advance musical talents. Students experience profound personal growth and learn the value of tradition, teamwork, responsibility, communication, and leadership. More importantly, the Collective’s young musicians form lasting friendships, feel a sense of belonging, and learn that the mark they made now will have an impact for years to come.

Your contribution during Raise the Region supports the mission of the Uptown Music Collective, serving Lycoming, Clinton, Sullivan, Columbia, Montour, Northumberland, Union and Tioga counties, and all that makes the school of music so unique, including free classes and workshops like the Tech Monkey program, as well as our renowned Major Performance 
and Community Performance programs.
